Coming Up This Week...

Throughout the month of March, in the days leading up to Easter, we will be learning about new life! Sometime on Wednesday, our caterpillars will arrive and we will begin to look at new life as we watch the lifecycle of the painted lady butterfly unfold before us! We will also observe new life all around us as spring begins to emerge. Watching God's awesome creation and the new life all around us will be a great way to lead up to the celebration of new life at Easter... our new life in Jesus!
Our Bible story of the week is about Zacchaeus. Of course we will learn the fun song about this "wee little man!" Our verse of the week is "You are kind and forgiving, O Lord." Psalm 86:5.
With the abundant volunteers help we have, we will be starting some small group activities with the preschoolers. More to come about that soon!

It's Good to Be Back!

I have had a marvelous time on maternity leave, spending time with Eli and adjusting to life with three kiddos of my own! It is a bitter sweet moment, returning to the classroom. It is very hard to leave Eli, but at the same time I am so excited to get back in the classroom with your wonderful children. I have missed the excitement that each day with preschoolers brings. I know these last three months of preschool will be incredible!
Even with the weather looking nicer, please remember to bring warm outdoor gear for your child. Now is also a good time to make sure that the extra clothes in your preschooler's cubby still fit!
I look forward to reconnecting with all of you and the preschoolers this week!

Keeping You and Yours Updated!

Hi Parents! I am looking forward to returning to the classroom next week as my maternity leave ends. While on leave I decided it would be a good idea to try out a blog for the preschool. I will do my best to update it frequently to help give each of you a better idea of what happened at preschool during the week. Perhaps grandparents or other relatives would like to read it as well. I also plan to put all the newsletter information on the blog so that is accessible for you all the time. I look forward to this blogging adventure and please, give me your feedback. If there are certain things you would like to see on the blog, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate. My prayer is that this will be a usable tool to keep you even better informed about the preschool and the great things your child is doing during his or her preschool mornings!
A prayer request... please keep Eli and I in your prayers as we transition to some time apart while I am teaching. Please pray that his babysitter would quickly form a strong and loving bond with him and that learning his cues and habits would come easily to her. Thanks!
